Santiago de la Ribera will host a new Night Air Show on October 12 at 8:30 p.m., coinciding with the celebration of National Holiday Day and framed in the municipal project "San Javier, city of the air" that aims to promote the city brand in which the local government works to make the municipality a reference in aeronautical culture.
The air show that includes acrobatics, lighting and pyrotechnics, and whose rehearsal can be seen at the same time on Friday, October 11, will be the culmination of other activities that will begin at 12 noon at the Barnuevo esplanade as an origami workshop for children and a live painting in different points of the promenade.
The mayor of San Javier, José Miguel Luengo and the councilor coordinator of the project "San Javier, city of the air", Rubén Pérez presented this morning the night air show that can be seen for the first time in the Region of Murcia starring the English patrol , AeroSparx, formed by two planes.
The aircraft covered by 1800 LEDs will be loaded with pyrotechnics that will launch over the sky providing greater spectacularity to the conventional acrobatics of the two pilots specialized in night flights.
The exhibition will have its central axis between Barnuevo and Club Náutico although it can be seen from anywhere on the beach.
On the night of Friday, October 11, you can see a preview of the show starring one of the planes that will conduct a general rehearsal.
Councilor Rubén Pérez, who was head of the Eagle Acrobatic Patrol, advanced without confirming the possibility of having a second patrol of two planes that would extend the show until 45 minutes.
The exhibition will be preceded by the children's origami workshop, "A walk through the clouds", in which children can make their paper planes and participate with them in a subsequent flight competition, which will be held at the Barnuevo esplanade at 12h
In addition there will be several painters-graffiti artists who will paint large canvases with motifs related to aeronautics at different points of the Paseo Colón in the eyes of the public.
Rubén Pérez recalled that all activities are free and reported the opening of a bar with different collaborating companies such as Estrella de Levante, whose full collection will go to those affected by the floods.
Mayor José Miguel Luengo highlighted the "novelty" of the night show that has never been seen before in the Region of Murcia and recalled that together with the air theater show that attracted hundreds of people last September 27 "gives clues as to what San Javier is going to become in the coming years. "
Luengo said that "San Javier, Ciudad del Aire" tries to bring together everything that has to do with air and aviation to attract aeronautics lovers who should perceive San Javier as a reference.
In this regard, he said that along with other initiatives that will take shape in the coming years, an Air Festival is already being planned for next year.
