The Museum of San Javier hosts these days the exhibition "Books of artists" with works by the CE3 collective formed by artists Belén Orta, Kraser, Salvador Torres, Vidal Maiquez and Virginia Bernal, and belonging to the Exhibition Space Plan promoted by the Institute of the Cultural Industries and Arts of the Region of Murcia (ICA) of the Ministry of Education and Culture.
The Councilor for Culture, David Martínez accompanied by several of the artists participating in the exhibition, inaugurated the exhibition that can be seen in San Javier until December 5, formed by a set of works linked only by the book stand on which Artists develop their creative proposals.
The selection of object or artist books, which can be seen in the Museum of San Javier shows from small notebooks to large format and volume objects such as world map specimens and others that allow interaction with the public that can intervene on them.
The artists' multiple creative languages ​​also follow each other in a variety of formats ranging from existing books on which the artist operates, with the creation of sculpture books, notebooks, notebooks, plans or ringed strips, which allows multiple interpretations and revisions both in its aesthetics and in meaning.
The exhibition can be visited at the San Javier Museum until December 5 from Tuesday to Friday from 09:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Peña El Cantazo delivers 11,119 euros of collection of the Oktoberfest San Javier 2019 to Aidemar, Abamur and Parkinson Mar Menor Association
The peña “El Cantazo†delivered last Friday three checks for an amount of 3,706.53 euros each, to Aidemar, Abamur and Parkinson Mar Menor Association, collected during the last edition of the Oktoberfest San Javier 2019 that was held from 3 to 6 October at the San Javier fairgrounds.
The delivery took place in the auditorium of the City of San Javier with the presence of the Mayor, José Miguel Luengo and the councilor of Festejos, Isidoro Miñano, along with all the members of the club that organizes “the only official Oktoberfest in the Region de Murcia â€, as Ricardo Luna, president of the Peña, recalled, thanking the delivery of all his teammates to make possible an event that dedicates its collection for charitable purposes.
The mayor of San Javier José Miguel Luengo praised the initiative and the work of the rock El Cantazo for the organization of an event that "makes a city mark" for the many foreign visitors it receives, the quality of the organization that falls directly on the personal work of all components and the solidarity factor that reverts the benefits in entities as important as those chosen in this edition.
A playground in Aidemar, greater investment in the care of the youngest of Abamur, the Murcian association that works in autism, and improve the work of social awareness and attention to parkinson's patients, are the improvements that will allow the donation of a total 11,119.59 euros from the “El Cantazo†club, according to the representatives of the three beneficiary entities that thanked the help received.
