The aeronautical culture sneaks this year on the Tapa Route of the patron saint festivities of San Javier that changes its name to Raid de la Tapa in memory of the old air routes of the 20s and 30s, sometimes epic flights such as flight between Spain and Argentina of the Plus Ultra, which gives its name to the cover of the El Palacio Restaurant.
The 28 participating restaurants and bars will offer varied tapas and cocktails, all of them with names related to aviation, among which the Patrulla Águila cap, PAPEA and many others with aircraft names such as the legendary Saeta, the C-101, Dornier Wall , Super Puma or Typhoon, or the Tiger cocktail, among others.
The Councilor for Fiestas, Isidoro Miñano explained today that it is a nod from the parties to the "San Javier, city of the air" project with which it is intended to promote the aeronautical culture as a hallmark of the municipality.
The Raid that begins today November 15 will last until December 6 with the participation of 28 establishments that will offer 23 tapas and five different cocktails.
The price of the cover with drink will be 2.5 euros and the cocktail price of 3 euros.
The Raid de la Tapa de San Javier, which attracts thousands of people every year, has a tracking card, which can be requested at the participating establishments and the San Javier Tourist Office, where you can vote at 10 best tapas scoring from 1 to 10. The cards with a minimum of 15 stamps, which are obtained with each new cover tested, will qualify for several prizes and those that get 22 will qualify for the first prize consisting of accommodation with full board end of week.
The draw will be held on December 7 in the party tent between the cards that have been deposited in the ballot box that will be installed in the tent since December 1 to collect the sealed cards.
