The City Council recovers four municipal documents from 1938 to 1941 seized in the operation "Clarisa" of the Civil Guard (26/11/2019)

A national Civil Guard operation has managed to recover a series of manuscripts, files and ecclesiastical and municipal documents that were for sale on the black market online, among which were four municipal documents of the City of San Javier dated between 1938 and 1941.

The Councilor for Culture, David Martínez, who collected documents in Murcia yesterday in an act in which other files were also returned to the Cathedral of Murcia and several Murcia municipalities, thanked the work carried out by the Civil Guard in the recovery of documentary heritage historical.

In the case of San Javier, the four documents returned to the City Council do not have a high historical value, so according to the researchers, their value in the black market is based on the stamps of the administrative stamps that appear therein, which would be especially appreciated by Collectors

Specifically, these are two offices of 1938 in one of which the Head of the Delegation in Murcia of the Agrarian Reform Institute asks the City Council to return 30 bags of rice that had been previously withdrawn.

In the other, the head of Health of the Army of the East informs that an order to send a basic certificate and last receipt of the assets of the soldier Joaquín Mateo Jiménez has been issued.

The other two documents are dated in 1941. In one of them, the mayor informs the Civil Guard Sergeant of the authorization of a loan to compensate him for the payment of a house for an amount of 30 pesetas.

In the other, the mayor informs the administrator of the Official Gazette of the Province of Murcia of the sending of 36 pesetas for subscription of the 1st and 2nd quarter of the year, begging him to return the payment justification.

The "Index", "Tabelión" and "Clarisa" operations, which resulted in the arrest of nine antique dealers for the reception and misappropriation of the documents, have allowed the recovery of 95 manuscript books and files as well as dozens of documents between the thirteenth centuries and XX from several autonomous communities in Spain.
