Nativity scenes, theater, music and folklore mark the Christmas program of the municipality of San Javier that revolves around culture and tradition as explained by the Councilor for Culture, David Martínez at the Salzillo Museum in Murcia where he presented the program accompanied by the director General of Cultural Assets, Rafael Gómez, the president of the Museum, Antonio Gómez Fayrén, its director, Teresa Marín.
The Christmas program, which includes activities throughout the municipality, focuses especially on the family and the youngest to enjoy vacations with activities such as "Christmas of Chaplin", the "Journey to the Disney universe", the shows "Mestre Fufo Circoncherto "that mixes theater, circus and music" and the premiere of "The Emperor's New Costume", in charge of the Railway Company, in addition to storytelling and a Christmas special of "In your park or in mine", not forgetting the Return of the Bethlehem of Playmobil-Hidrogea that can be seen in the Museum of San Javier with important novelties, throughout Christmas.
Christmas music is also very present in the program with the lyric concert "A Christmas of cinema" by Voce Nostra in the Plaza de España, the Choir Encounter at Christmas, the Christmas concert with the choir Patnia, a Zambomba Flamenca with the Jesús Quiles School, and a charity concert offered by the San Javier Symphony Band, the Voces Blancas choir and the choirs of San Javier and Santiago de la Ribera on Sunday, December 22.
The Mar Menor Choir and Dance group will also intervene singing the Mass of Gallo on December 25.
The nativity scenes will be the protagonists throughout Christmas with a route that includes the entire municipality for which a guided tour has been prepared on January 4 that includes the "Bethlehem of Spain", Belén de la Marquesa "and the exhibition of Nativity scenes, in San Javier; the Belen Dos Mares Shopping Center ";
Belén Marinero, and Belén de la Parroquia, from Santiago de la Ribera;
and the nativity scenes of El Mirador, La Grajuela and La Manga del Mar Menor, in Galerias El Flamenco.
The Councilor for Culture, David Martínez announced that the Christmas proclamation will be borne by Carlos Albaladejo, former Councilor of San Javier and current General Director of Educational Innovation and Attention to Diversity, on December 21, coinciding with the opening of the exhibition of Nativity scenes in the temple of San Javier and the inauguration of the Belén de la Marquesa.
The poster announcing Christmas this year in San Javier "Rest in flight to Egypt", by Battista Pittoni forward a new scene that adds to the "Bethlehem of Spain", one of the largest in Europe, which will open on December 20th.
The general director of Cultural Assets, Rafael Gómez highlighted the belenistic tradition of San Javier and after praising the Christmas program he invited all Murcians to visit San Javier during these dates.
Also the president and the director of the Salzillo Museum, Antonio Gómez Fayrén and Teresa Moreno, respectively, highlighted the importance of Christmas in San Javier and were delighted to host the presentation of the program in "la casa del Belén" in reference to the Salzillo Museum.
Gómez Fayrén took the opportunity to dedicate a message of encouragement after suffering a new storm to the town of San Javier in the person of its mayor, José Miguel Luengo.
The mayor of Culture, David Martínez, excused the presence of the mayor who presided over the municipal services coordination meeting dedicated to the effects of the storm this morning.
All activities, some of which will rotate location, are free except for the musical "The Emperor's new suit" that will cost 5 euros.
