The San Javier Symphony Band, the “Santiago Apóstol†choirs, from Santiago de la Ribera and “Stella Maris Björkâ€, from San Javier and the Core of White Voices have joined together to offer together a charity concert with which they have proposed raise funds for those affected by past floods.
The Councilor for Culture, David Martínez surrounded himself today with the directors of the Band, Gregorio Fernández, and the participating choirs, Sebastián Moya and Matilde Roig to present this initiative “that brings together the four musical formations for the first time†in a concert which will take place on Sunday, December 22 at 6pm in the tent of the San Javier fairgrounds.
The director of the two corals, Inmaculada García has coordinated the initiative that has involved the four formations that rehearse a concert whose repertoire is intended to be a surprise although they admit that Christmas music will be present given the dates.
The concert will be free and the collection will be obtained from donations that the attendees want to offer at the entrance of the venue where a donation point will be enabled.
The money raised will be managed through Cáritas Parroquial de San Javier and also from Santiago de la Ribera that also keep accounts open for donations for the same purpose.
Both Councilor David Martínez and the representatives of the Music Band and the corals invited the public to attend and enjoy the music while collaborating and contributing in solidarity with those affected by the most negative effects of the two DANAS that the municipality has suffered .
