The president of the Community, Fernando López Miras, met today with the mayor of San Javier, José Miguel Luengo, with whom he addressed the "need for us all to act before the clear boycott that the central government is making to the Region of Murcia denying us a transfer for irrigation that the technicians had endorsed, "said the Minister of Presidency and Finance, Javier Celdrán, at the end of the meeting.

"The Government of Pedro Sánchez shows its absolute insensibility with the future of the Region of Murcia that depends, in large part, on agriculture," said Celdrán, who referred to the decision of the Ministry as "an attack on our land."

Also, during the meeting, the situation of the decree law for the integral protection of the Mar Menor in which the regional Executive works and that "is in its final phase", in the words of the director, was also addressed.

Celdrán also highlighted other specific actions of the regional government in the municipality such as the expansion of the IES Mar Menor, the improvement of the Pozo Aledo roundabout or the progress for San Javier to host the Aeronautical Museum of the Infante Orleans Foundation, "to make the Aeronautical history of the municipality an important vector of tourism, social and cultural growth, not only for San Javier but for the entire Region of Murcia, "said the Minister of the Presidency and Finance.
