The Catalan flutist Claudi Arimany, concertist of international prestige, researcher and with an extensive discography, will perform with the flute player Mariano Bas and the Basque pianist and harpsichordist Pedro J. Rodríguez, a careful selection of Baroque Chamber music at the concert “Splendor del Barroco â€To be held on Saturday, February 8 at 8:30 p.m. in the temple of San Francisco Javier, in San Javier, with the collaboration of the Department of Culture of the City of San Javier and the Social Work“ la Caixa â€
The Councilor for Culture, David Martínez and the flute player Mariano Bas, professor of the San Javier Conservatory, presented this morning at the Town Hall the concert accompanied by the pastor José León, president of the Casa Cuna de Sucina Foundation, and Sister Matilde Gil , of the Little Sisters of the Annunciation, directed by the charity center, to which the entire collection of the concert will be destined, from donations made by the audience attending the event.
Mariano Bas, promoter of the initiative, explained that the program, played by two flutes and harpsichord, considered the baroque ancestor of the piano, will include compositions by Johann Sebastian Bach, his son Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach, J. Pla, the great musician German Georg Philipp Teleman and Johann Joachim Quantz.
Bas highlighted the height of the guest musicians
The initiative arose after the great reception of the concert among friends with which Mariano Bas celebrated his 40th birthday last year.
Mariano wanted to give a beneficial character to his idea and managed to raise 1200 euros that he allocated to the Casa Cuna de Sucina, with which he repeats this second time.
Their representatives, José León and Sister Matilde Gil thanked Mariano Bas and the collaborating entities for this initiative that will facilitate the work of the center that since its foundation in 2012 has served 50 pregnant women and their children.
The center is attended by the Little Sisters of the Annunciation and is funded by private donations and charitable events.
In addition to the voluntary donation that will be requested at the concert, the hand program will include a Casa Cuna account number where donations can be made.
