The Estacio Canal bridge remains closed due to a breakdown that occurred late yesterday, so maritime traffic will continue to be interrupted during the next few days while a detailed evaluation and repair of the breakage is carried out.
Road traffic has been restored normally at mid-morning today after yesterday the passage to cars and vans was limited after being able to close the bridge that broke down during an opening maneuver.
The situation motivated the activation of the level 4.1 emergency protocol and the disposition of the municipal taxi fleet as well as various municipal vehicles to transfer school transport and users between bus stops on either side of the bridge, since neither trucks nor buses could cross it.
Currently, with the standardized road traffic for all types of vehicles, the emergency level has been lowered to level 3 that affects navigation.
At the moment the current forecasts indicate that at least until February 4 no opening of the bridge will be made.
