The Carnival of Santiago de la Ribera 2020 started last Saturday night with one of its most anticipated events the Gala of election of Reina, title to which also attended the "Brasilia" with Atenea Hernández;
"Those who were missing" with Yaiza Molero;
"Makulele" with Lidia Zapata and "Aire" with Mari Carmen Martínez.
Without a jury and by lottery the Infant Queen was chosen on Sunday afternoon title that fell to the Muse of the troupe "Makulele", Laura Marín, and after the show that gave the little muses that represented the comparas "Those who were missing" , "Aire", "Brasilia", "Olé Olá", "Akelarre" and "Río".
The former councilor of Festejos, Pedro López was in charge of proclaiming the Carnival with a proclamation full of memories, anecdotes and humor with which the tent was set waiting for the election of the queen on a night in which there was also Space for remembrance.
The Carnival commission paid a tribute to Consuelo Espinosa, for its involvement in the Santiago de la Ribera carnival, which was one of the first queens.
His mother, Josefina Escudero, who was at the birth of the Riparian Carnival 32 years ago was in charge of receiving the emotional tribute that the family of the carnival of Santiago de la Ribera gave him.
After the rest day on Monday, the carnival will resume tomorrow its program with the Children's Carnival in the tent of the "Prince of Asturias" from 5:30 p.m.
