The Mayor of San Javier José Miguel Luengo and the General Director of Youth, Raúl Puche, today received the group of participants in the Erasmus + program “Making music, helping people” (“Making music, helping people”) in the City Hall its first meeting, from February 23 to March 1, in San Javier with young musicians from Spain, France, Italy, Greece, Ukraine and Georgia.
The program is coordinated from Spain by the AMPA of the San Javier Conservatory and aims to deliver music to people who for different reasons have difficult access to live music as a therapeutic instrument.
The group of 31 young volunteers, six from San Javier and five from the rest of the countries, will visit Los Arcos hospital tomorrow where they will play for hospitalized people.
They will also offer a concert in the residence of older people “San José” before a final concert dedicated especially to the users of Aidemar on Friday, February 28 in the auditorium of the “Prince of Asturias” center, in Santiago de la Ribera.
