| The agreement reached by PP, PSOE, Ciudadanos-C's and Unidas Podemos includes 65 measures to support the economic and social recovery of the municipality after the pandemic | All municipal political groups except VOX have signed today the Relaunch San Javier Pact "with which it is intended to respond to a historical and unprecedented moment caused by the Coronavirus-19," said Mayor José Miguel Luengo, who thanked PP spokespersons.

The agreement, which includes 65 measures in economic, social, cultural, technological, commercial and tourist, cultural, sports, health and hygiene and internal regime measures, was signed this morning by the mayor, José Miguel Luengo; the protagonist of the PP, Antonio Martínez; the spokesperson for the PSOE, Laura Gil; that of Ciudadanos-C's, Víctor Pérez and Unidas Podemos, Matías Cantabella, in the plenary hall. Mayor José Miguel Luengo, who regretted the absence of VOX he invited to join the path of the agreement, noted that the Pact Relaunches San Javier "is the joint response to the situation that the municipality will find itself once the state of alarm and return to normal.
" Luengo added that "with this agreement we want to transfer to society the will of its representatives to join forces" and recalled that "we are at a time when citizens demand that the general interest prevail over political differences". After signing the document, which will be endorsed by the Plenary, the mayor, José Miguel Luengo, thanked the spokesmen for the opposition "for their effort, commitment, dedication and loyalty." He also thanked them that "from the first day they made themselves available to this Mayor for whatever was necessary," recalling the unity already demonstrated in the approval of the budget amendment to streamline economic measures and other acts such as joint tribute to the victims of COVID-19. In the turn of interventions, the PSOE spokeswoman, Laura Gil pointed out that "these are the moments in which politics have to be useful for citizens leaving political interests." In the same sense, Víctor Pérez, spokesman for Ciudadanos-C's, said that in the current situation "citizens expect their representatives to work to help improve it." Matías Cantabella, of Unidas Podemos, who thanked the Mayor for taking all his proposals into account, said that "in the worst moments the only way out is to work together." For his part, the popular spokesman, Antonio Martínez pointed out that the pact goes beyond politics and highlighted the joint will to work for the social and economic recovery of the municipality. Measures included in the agreement Among the 65 measures included in the Pact Relaunches San Javier include those already announced in economic matters such as suspension of the garbage rate, the 100 percent bonus to the rate of occupation of public roads for the entire year 2020 or the concession of an occupation superior to the terraces, among others.
In addition, in terms of social protection, the municipal food bank that is already underway and other measures such as reinforcement of dining room scholarships, the streamlining of administrative procedures for social aid or the increase in social emergency aid for the payment of rent and basic supplies. The employment, tourism, trade and local development measures include an advisory service to companies for everything related to the crisis of COVID-19, a program of technological reconversion and digitization for commerce and hospitality, land disposal and streamlining of procedures for investments generating employment.
In tourism matters, it is agreed, among other things, to collaborate with the Institute for Spanish Tourist Quality (ICTE) in the technical protocols for the prevention of COVID-19 in tourist products and destinations as well as on the beaches. Regarding hygiene and health, there is a commitment to continue with disinfection and reinforcement of cleaning in public spaces, schools and municipal offices, continued distribution of masks and development of the Municipal Health Council.
Technological development has also been taken into account with a proposal for the comprehensive installation of a Wi-Fi network that reduces the digital gap between neighbors.
Culture is also not left out with measures such as the promotion of audiovisual arts, or the rescheduling of cultural events and activities postponed, promoting local and regional culture.
In sports matters, outdoor sports are influenced with more means of land and facilities or the creation of safe routes within the municipality and the promotion of the use of the bicycle.The agreement includes measures to support public transport, guaranteeing the protection of health and others related to the safe recovery of face-to-face administrative activity in municipal offices. Lastly, the agreement includes the follow-up of the measures included in the text through periodic meetings of the representatives of the signatory groups, as well as the inclusion of other measures that, depending on the evolution of the situation, are deemed appropriate and should be unanimously agreed.
