The mayor met today in the City Hall with the parish priest of San Javier Juan Prieto to coordinate the device deployed by the cemetery, dependent on the Diocese of Cartagena, which remains open from 08:30 to 18:00 until next November 15. During the meeting in which the heads of Local Police and Civil Protection were present, and councilors David Martínez and Sergio Martínez, municipal collaboration was agreed to guarantee health prevention measures motivated by the pandemic that establish a maximum of 3 people living together by pantheon, tomb or niche.
The cemetery has been divided into four sectors that will be separated by fences to prevent internal movement of people, with a maximum capacity of 150 people per sector.
There will be two entry controls for people who can only access the sector they intend to visit.
The City Council will assign a Local Police patrol in the area that will also have the presence of Civil Protection, during the weekend. The parish priest reported on other measures such as the closing of fountains and water taps from October 30 to November 3.
The Eucharists are held on day 1 at 11am and on day 2 at 4:30 pm.
