The mayor José Miguel Luengo and the president of Proyecto Hombre in Murcia, Tomás Zamora have signed the renewal of the collaboration agreement that both institutions maintain and that involves the municipal contribution of 10,000 euros to the assistance entity for development in the municipality of a program of action that includes prevention work, advice and a free service of direct attention to people affected by any addiction.Present at the signing of the agreement were the councilor for Social Rights, Estíbaliz Masegosa, and the director of the Project, Asunción Santos, who confirmed the return to face-to-face care in San Javier.
Technical staff from Proyecto Hombre travels for four days to the facilities of the Youth Council in San Javier, to attend to users who may be derived from other services or at a private request by requesting a prior appointment on the phone 968280034.According to those in charge of Proyecto Hombre, the most frequent profile among users served in San Javier is that of a young person between 18 and 24 years of age due to cannabis addiction, followed by alcohol and online gambling and betting problems.
From January to March last 10 people were attended in San Javier and after the confinement they return to face-to-face care to inform, advise and assess the referral to any of the programs in operation at the Proyecto Hombre headquarters in Murcia.
María Dolores Egea explained that during the confinement she took the opportunity to prepare prevention material that has been distributed among the different municipal services with which Proyecto Hombre works in a coordinated manner.
