The mayor José Miguel Luengo and the president of Famdif / Concemfe, Carmen Gil, signed today, at the San Javier City Council, the renewal of the agreement that both institutions maintain regarding advice on accessibility in municipal works.
The agreement signed today establishes an annual municipal contribution of 2,500 euros to the Federation of Murcian Associations of People with Physical and Organic Disabilities, whose technical staff advises on accessibility to the City Council in municipal works, in addition to launching other awareness-raising initiatives in the same sense. José Miguel Luengo highlighted the importance of physical accessibility for the integration of people with disabilities or with some movement difficulty and reiterated the commitment of the City of San Javier in this regard "as evidenced by the agreement that we signed with Famdif for years." Currently the Famdif technicians supervise the accessibility of works in progress such as the remodeling of the Almansa Park, the Pozo Aledo square, as well as the works on streets and sidewalks that are going to be undertaken in El Mirador and in Avenida Academia General del Aire, from Santiago de la Ribera, where sidewalk accessibility will be improved on a section of the street.
