The general director of Women and Gender Diversity, María José Martínez and the Councilor for Women, Ana Belén Martínez presented in San Javier the program developed by Fundación Cepaim, which also works on prevention of gender violence The general director of Women and Gender Diversity, María José Martínez, the Councilor for Women and Equal Opportunities of San Javier, Ana Belén Martínez and the regional head of the Cepaim Foundation, Pedro López, presented today at the San Javier Town Hall Intercontectad @ s program, which will be developed in the municipalities of San Javier, Torre Pacheco and Murcia, aimed at women in vulnerable situations, with the aim of reducing the digital gender gap. The program, promoted by the General Directorate of Women and Gender Diversity to which the City Council of San Javier has joined, through the Department of Women and Equal Opportunities, will be developed by the Cepaim Foundation and aims to offer tools to women vulnerable to acquire skills in the use of New Technologies in order to counteract their social isolation and thus their possible exposure to situations of sexist violence. The workshops begin on November 16 and will last until December 11 with 120 hours of training and the simultaneous participation of three groups of 15 women in each municipality.
The course is blended in nature and will include the Fundación Cepaim virtual classroom and personalized tutorials.
The users will learn to handle office automation, social networks and to solve daily procedures and procedures with the double objective of helping to reduce the digital divide and provide women with more resources in the face of gender violence.
As its name indicates, the program will interconnect the participants with network actions guided by a solvent team of technicians, explained the representative of Cepaim, Pedro López. This initiative is intended to "respond to a need," explained the general director, María José Martínez, who recalled how the idea of ??the program arose during confinement due to the situation experienced by women whose ignorance of digital resources could aggravate their situation of vulnerability and specifically their exposure to gender violence.
