The International Day of the Rights of the Child, which is commemorated on June 20, will be celebrated in San Javier with the projection of a film to see online from home and with the family, as well as in educational centers, to address the theme of the Rights of the Child with the little ones.
The chosen film is “The extraordinary journey of Lucius Dumb” directed by Maite Ruiz de Austri, an animated film that addresses the issue of children's rights through history starring the young scientist Lucius Dumb who will have to help two aliens to return home.The coordinator of Social Services of San Javier, Alicia Balsalobre and the technician who coordinates the activity, Eugenia Contreras, presented this morning the proposal of the Department of Social Services that is aimed at both schools and families to see the film that in a didactic way it addresses the theme of the rights of the child adapted for the youngest, from 3 years.
The aim is for children to learn about their rights in a fun way, using language adapted to their age and with the help of the relevant explanations from their family at home.
Later there will be a telematic cineforum session on November 24 at 7:00 p.m.The initiative, which tries to save social contact, is based on the blog https://cineyvaloessj.com/ that was created during the confinement, last April, with social film titles to watch as a family supported by educational material of the Children's Platform and UNICEF, which allows each film to be worked from home as a family.
