Opens new Employment Office San Javier, which improves the coverage to more than 70,000 inhabitants of the Mar Menor area and represents an investment of 958,180 euros
The president of the Community, Ramón Luis Valcárcel, appealed today to the consensus on labor as "essential for the good of the citizens in this time of crisis, where the number of over five million unemployed in Spain."

Valcárcel was speaking to reporters' questions about the labor reform being debated today in Congress and after the inauguration of the new Employment Office San Javier, which will provide better coverage to residents of the municipalities of Los Alcazares, San Pedro del Pinatar and San Javier, a total of 70,396 persons, of which 8,614 are jobseekers today.
The regional chief executive was accompanied at the ceremony by the Minister of Education, Training and Employment, Sotoca Constantine, and the mayor of San Javier, Josefa García.
Since 2003, the year that the Regional Employment Service and Training took over responsibility for Employment, the inhabitants of these municipalities were assisted in Torre Pacheco, so the implementation of this service is a significant improvement in user service in the area.
The new facility, located in the town Salzillo Street, have made a total investment of 958,180 euros, resulting from the acquisition of the premises, the work performed and equipment.
The Employment Bureau with an area of new floor, 400 square meters and consists of a large area to the public, two offices, boardroom, storage and toilet areas.
In the Office work a total of 11 staff, six of them belonging to the Regional Employment Service and Training (SEF) and five to the Public Employment Service (SPEE).
Those enrolled in the Employment Office will receive, among other free services, registration and classification as job seekers, placement offers adequate information on measures to promote employment, training, employment guidance, supply and demand existing employment in other European Union countries, as well as information services, consulting and brokerage firms.
The Regional Employment Service and Training has invested in the area of the Mar Menor in the years 2009 and 2010 an amount exceeding two million euros for the implementation of various measures in respect of employment and training for more than 400 unemployed.
