The time of strong wind and intermittent rain forced to suspend the carnival of Santiago de la Ribera an hour after they started, because of strong gusts of wind that afternoon yesterday shot down two trees, one in the IES Mar minor avenue and another in Balsicas.

The parade that would involve more than 2500 people from 50 troupes tried to put a brave face on things but worsening weather conditions preventing ended when the first troupes they headed the Mar Menor Avenue.

The party moved to the carnival tent where he was scheduled to end with the burning of a seahorse, a symbol of the coastal carnival.
