Germán Tezanos, president of the Ornithological Society of San Javier, has achieved first place in team (4 issues) category Spanish Race White and Scotch Fancy third in the World Championship of Ornithology played between 21 and 24 January in the Portuguese town of Matosinhos, with the participation of about 25,000 copies in 23 countries.
Tezanos has been repeatedly regional, national and international champion, repeated a second time in the World Championship in the last year also achieved third place in the category of Scotch Fancy Canary.
Germán Tezanos founded 26 years ago the local Ornithological Society currently has about 250 members and for 25 years held the Contest Ornithological Villa de San Javier, with the collaboration of the City of San Javier.
The competition incorporated in his last seven editions a case of Gloster, attracting breeders in Spain.
The president of the Society Ornitológicia San Javier was very satisfied with their participation in the World Championship that wanted to take to encourage the home crowd, "which features fine examples" to come out and participate in international competitions.
