San Javier has today become the first Murcian town with the distinctive "Tourist Town" in the region, designation of a quality seal that has launched the Ministry of Economic Development, Tourism and Employment of the Region of Murcia the aim of fixing the commitment of municipalities to improving quality tourism.
The mayor of San Javier, José Miguel Luengo this morning signed the agreement with the director, Juan Hernandez in a ceremony held at the marina Tomas Maestre La Manga with the presence of the Secretary of State for Tourism, Maria Isabel Borrego who supported the initiative which stressed the commitment of the two Administrations for competitiveness, tourism diversification and combating seasonality.
The counselor, who congratulated the City of San Javier for being the first to join this initiative, explained that the seal of "Tourist Municipality" which lies within the great pact for tourism promoting with municipalities, moves within 8 areas: investment support;
incentives and financial resources;
strengthen training and quality employment in the sector;
innovation in collaboration with the ITREM and INFO;
improving infrastructure;
promotion;

He also said that the international jazz festivals and theater, music and dance will also arrive this summer at La Manga.
Luengo also noted other developments such as the annual program of visits to the AGA, through a recent agreement between the city and the military establishment, a tourist attraction in the municipality, and the preparation of an ecotourism Festival in La Manga which issues will be addressed environmental values ​​of the Mar Menor.
Region Sets Record arrival of international tourism in 2015
