San Javier will host this year 3 summer courses of the XXXIII edition of the International University of the Sea organized by the University of Murcia and Cartagena Polytechnic.
The courses scheduled for the headquarters of San Javier are: "International Course High Performance Basketball" from 8 to 10 July;
"New Tourism lexicon: Translation and Specialized Communication", from 18 to 20 July;
and "To educate, create and heal through the stories", which will be held from 5 to 9 September.
San Javier is one of the 19 venues for the summer courses UNIMAR which will house a total of 78 courses and activities, which are part of the program of activities of the Campus of Excellence Mare Nostrum, recently presented at a ceremony presided by the Rector of the University of Murcia, José Orihuela, at the University of Murcia, which was attended by the Rector of the UPCT, Jose Antonio Franco, and the Director General of Universities and Research, Juan Monzó.
The mayor of San Javier, José Miguel Luengo and the Councillor for Education, Catalina Perez attended the presentation together with representatives of the other to the presentation of the program of courses "in which it wants to strengthen its international" headquarters, said the director of the International University of the Sea, Raquel Sanchez Ibanez.
The mayor of San Javier, José Miguel Luengo recalled the traditional collaboration of San Javier with the International University of the Sea in line with the Council's commitment to Education and Culture, and guaranteed municipal support, as headquarters itself one of the campus of the UMU.
