The Town Planning, Agriculture and Environment, Antonio Luengo today presented the activities organized by the Department of Environment to mark the Day of the Tree and Water held on 21 and 22 March respectively, with the aim of awareness, especially the little ones, of the importance of maintaining and caring for the natural environment and water management.
Activities will begin with smaller, students of the Municipal Nursery during the days 14, 15 and 17 March will have the opportunity to experience agriculture with visits to the nearby school garden CEIP "La Paz" in San Javier.
The Department has also offered to schools visiting the industrial water treatment, San Javier and Demonstration Center and Technology Transfer of El Mirador where you can meet the management carried out in their municipality with sewage and jobs research and use of new technologies in agriculture.
Students of 1st ESO attend Sacred Heart school on March 16, and the other schools have postponed for other dates.
On Friday 18 March there will be an open activity in the plaza of San Javier Spain with workshops seeds, reusable packaging, crafts with recycled materials and inflatable attractions for children, with the collaboration of the project Association Abraham, who Colabra with City Hall in collecting clothes, shoes and toys.
Wednesday 23 March there will be an open visit to anyone interested to 3 facilities related to land and water as are the Demonstration Center and Land Transfer, Semilleros Mar Menor, and jams and preserves P. Ready, a family business that works handcrafted products.
Antonio Luengo also recalled that on Saturday, March 19, San Javier will add another year to the Earth Hour to support this global action on climate change for what it off, symbolically lights of City Hall, inviting citizens to play the lead.
