The Municipal Centre of Social Services has organized a free training course for caregivers and relatives of people in situations of dependency in order to improve knowledge on aging and disability and strategies to facilitate how to address the challenges in the family to a process of dependency.
In the course sessions will be held on Wednesdays from April from 16:30 to 19: 00h., On the first floor of the Senior Center of Santiago de la Ribera, related to technical and social aid will address content, the cognitive symptoms in the elderly, prevention and basic nursing care and prevention and slowing of physical symptoms.
The course is taught organized team technical professionals AFAL, Friends and Family Association and other Dementias Alzheimer Sufferers Neurodegenerative of Cartagena and Shire, which has a regional headquarters in Santiago de la Ribera, donated by the city of San Javier
The course is particularly aimed at families and caregivers of elderly dependency situation who want to improve care and their relationship with the patient.
