On March 28, 2016, the spokesman for the Orange group in San Javier, Murcia Antonio, presented a new initiative which aims to alleviate the difficulties faced daily by people with disabilities.
Members of our society that require the Administration and their public representatives, greater involvement and commitment to truly solve their problems by adopting policies that not only stay here at the sea surface but deepens further and help to adopt and promote whatever measures are necessary to ensure that, once and for all, these full citizens, are fully integrated and may participate in community life and its policies.
In this spirit, and with great enthusiasm, San Javier Citizens take the next plenary session of the month, his motion with which aims to promote the creation of the post of Ombudsman for the Disabled.

"Since no one better to take on this important role, one who enjoys a special sensitivity to the matter," according to party sources they have said.
The functions to be assumed by the Ombudsman are the following: Coordinate municipal activities with various associations;
shall ensure that the rights of individuals with disabilities are met;
the Corporation will raise proposals that benefit the group as a whole;
will attend the consultation of these citizens, as well as claims submitted;
will release the resources available for all levels of government to the members of this group, through lectures, symposia, etc .;
supervise in its field, the performance of public administration, and try to remedy the deficiencies presenting legislative proposals, solutions and alternatives to the problems.
On the other hand, in the motion, the convenience of studying the feasibility of creating a single office management and information for residents with disabilities, in which all bureaucratic procedures that were related to the different departments can be made set Community.
It also aims to encourage the development, over 2016-2017, an urban accessibility plan to mark the actions, targets and deadlines for the adaptation of the municipality to the regulations on urban accessibility;
including, in future budgets of 2017, an economic base for the elimination of architectural barriers.
