The mayor, José Miguel Luengo and the president of AFAL, Association of Alzheimer Cartagena and Shire, Pedro Antonio Arroyo today signed a collaboration agreement between the two institutions through which the City of San Javier provides 2,000 euros to the organization also it has a local municipal given by the city to develop its work in the municipality.
Luengo praised the "extraordinary" work is AFAL developed in the municipality of San Javier, helping Alzheimer's patients and their families to improve their quality of life and reiterated the commitment of the City of San Javier with the Association.
President AFAL, Pedro Antonio Arroyo thanked the municipal support is now extended with the signing of the agreement "because this helps make it easier to develop our work in an area where required by the number of people suffering from the disease."
Arroyo also thanked the attention paid by the City Council through the Department of Social Services "without which there could have carry out our work."
Councilwoman Estíbaliz Masegosa, who attended the signing of the Convention, recalled that AFAL takes months providing care and workshops both patients and relatives for that tomorrow, Wednesday begins a course, in fully equipped facilities, which were assigned to him with that target, located on the top floor of the Senior Center of Santiago de la Ribera.
