The Councillor for Finance, Carlos Albaladejo has reported that the budget settlement of 2015 has resulted in a surplus of 638,000 €, which has especially valued since good results occur despite significantly increased spending by the implementation of the new contract for waste collection and street cleaning.
Albaldejo also recalled that last year was reduced by more than 2 points the long-term debt stood at 28.5%, and that the period of payment to suppliers stood at 18 days.
The mayor of Finance said the upward trend of economic performance as evidenced by the increase in revenues despite the reduction occurred in the amount of property tax roll.
Carlos Albaladejo said that "even having lowered the IBI 8.6% in 2015, we managed to have surpluses, lower debt and meet payment commitments in just 18 days, in addition to 11.7 million euros in cash" in the liquidation of the year.
The head of the municipal coffers added that "these figures and economic indicators that indicate the improvement of the local economy, lower can return to the receive IBI for next year."
