For the first time in the 15 year history of the Festival Award Jazz San Javier, the organization has made use of the option of municipal regulation of honors and distinctions that allows exceptionally award a Prize artists from the European Community and other artists from around the world, within the same year.

This year's will, also, his fourth visit to the Festival Jazz San Javier, where as occurs with Iganisi Terrace, is a well-liked by the public artist.
The Prize of the International Jazz Festival of San Javier is given annually to those elected in recognition of a career and contribution as artists have made to the history of jazz artists.
