The importance of proper management of any residue from the domestic sphere to its possible recycling is the main theme of the conference being held in schools in the municipality these days under the title "The speedy residue" through the agreement cooperation that the City of San Javier, has signed with the technology Center for Energy and Environment, CETENMA, and Aprovertia a technology-based company launched by the Miguel Hernández University in Elche.

The Councillor for Environment, Antonio Luengo, accompanied by Silvia Perez, CETENMA and Health Soto, Aprovertia today visited the CEIP.

"Fulgencio Ruiz" Santiago de la Ribera during the celebration of this activity that through games, songs and quizzes children seated knowledge on the subject in a playful way, said Silvia Pérez, representative CETENMA.

Antonio Luengo welcomed the participation of the two institutions to carry out these days that are rotated by the different schools in the municipality with the aim of reaching younger and help create new fully committed generations to sustainability and environmental care .

The Technology Center for Energy and the Environment has designed the activity that finances Aprovertia, through the agreement signed with the City of San Javier for scientific study at the Civic Center Waste Management of the use of agricultural waste and prunings for other uses such as animal feed, compost or bioenergy.

The said agreement also includes such actions to transfer knowledge about sustainability among young people.

Luengo recalled that this activity is inaugurated what will be the Environment Week in San Javier, organized on the occasion of World Environment Day, which reflects a wide and varied range of activities starting on 31 May and last until June 6, with site visits to landmarks such as island Grosa, workshops, exhibitions, competitions, and a day of "Techno-optimism. Technologies for a model of circular economy".
