The mayor of San Javier, José Miguel Luengo has joined the Territorial Council of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinicias, FEMP, at the meeting of the governing body of the FEMP, at its headquarters in Madrid today.
Luengo joins the body with the highest authority of the FEMP, during the four-year period that elapses between the conclusion of the Ordinary Plenary.
The Territorial Council is responsible, among other things, to articulate the relations with the Territorial Federations FEMP and to develop concrete proposals to undertake joint actions and approving budgets and general accounts.
The mayor of San Javier, José Miguel Luengo thanked "the confidence placed in me to represent Murcia" and said he was "backed to defend the interests of the Region of Murcia, the Mar Menor and San Javier from this important body where municipalities concur to articulate effective mechanisms for their municipalities ".
