The delegate of Education of the Diocese of Cartagena, Juan Carlos Garcia met with the mayor, José Miguel Luengo, in the municipality of San Javier, to deliver a metope bronze with the image of "Jesus, master teacher" by the sculptor José Hernández Navarro "in gratitude for the welcome you gave us the City on the occasion of the Diocesan Encuentro of students of religion held in San Javier on 14 April."
Juan Carlos Garcia, who was accompanied by Jesus Carrillo, coordinator teachers of the Delegation of Education of the Diocese, thanked the mayor willingness of the City to host the meeting in which 2,500 students of the subject of religion 4th of participated ESO 1st High School and throughout the Region of Murcia.
Responsible for teaching the Diocese will also presented a video in which the day is summarized in the municipality, where after the reception at the Plaza of Spain, which was attended by the Minister of Education and Universities, Maria Isabel Sanchez-Mora, the students different simultaneous visits by the municipality.
The mayor thanked the consideration shown to the City Council and expressed satisfaction that the City had hosted this annual meeting "that filled the square and the entire municipality of youth in a memorable day for everyone."
