The councilman of Culture and director of the International Festival of Theatre, Music and Dance in San Javier, David Martinez I received in San Javier to individuals who are responsible of the International Festival of Theatre, Dance and Circus Zaragoza, ZGZEscena, with whom held a working meeting in which future collaboration between summer festivals in Spain was discussed.
At the meeting, which was also attended by theater director, Antonio Saura, and the President of Murcia Scene, Esperanza Clares, representatives of ZGZ scene presented one of the goals of young zaragozano festival it is to work co-production projects and articulate collaborative networks of institutions and entities.
David Martinez said after the meeting that the idea, which it shares with the festival of Zaragoza, is collaboration between summer festivals that could facilitate the economic conditions of hiring international companies through organizing national tours, as well as co-productions without forgetting mutual enrichment through the background and experience of individual directors and festivals.
The International Festival of Theatre, Dance and Circus Zaragoza, which celebrates its first edition from 11 to 18 July, is organized by the City Council and associations of local ARES and ASEMTAR Performing Arts.
It takes place in conventional and unconventional settings, and includes lectures, Masterclas and social gatherings.
