The children, who were accompanied by host families and representatives of the Association of Friendship and Solidarity with the Saharawi people of the Mar Menor has resumed the program "Holidays in Peace" with the collaboration of the City of San Javier, they arrived on 4 July and remain in the town until 4 September.
Luengo reiterated the support of the City of San Javier this initiative "that allows Saharawi children enjoy a holiday in peace in our town" and thanked the work of the Association, "for his advocacy work for years on Saharawi problems and especially families offered to host them and care for them during their stay. "
One of the mothers, with long experience in the reception of Saharawi children in summer, Belen Sanchez explained how satisfying it is for the whole family experience the welcome, both by solidarity motivations and personal level by the response you get from children "who care as children or as brothers."
His own daughter, Vanessa, is responsible for guiding his "Sahrawi sister" in his early days at home.
The Secretary of the Association of Friendship and Solidarity with the Saharawi people, the Mar Menor, Fuensanta Postigo thanked the cooperation of the City to facilitate the travel of children, as well as companies and individuals who also work as a dentist and local optician they have been offered for review of children during their stay, while making a call in this regard, "because any help to facilitate the stay of children will be well received".
