The Director General of Cultural Heritage of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia, Maria Comas and Councilman of Culture of San Javier, David Martinez today visited the bookmobile located in the Barnuevo of Santiago Esplanade de la Ribera where it will arrive every Tuesday July August with a new edition of the campaign "a summer book."
The bookmobile aims to bring reading to tourist areas during the summer, bringing more than 70,000 volumes to the beaches of Murcia, said the general director of Cultural Heritage, Maria Comas, so that residents and visitors can enjoy reading taking on any loan available titles.
To use this service, which will open from 10:00 to 13: 00h, you need the card reader of any municipal library, or show your ID card or any document having it, being able to return in the bookmobile or even send it by mail to the Regional Library.
Users of this service will find current narrative titles, both children and juvenile and adult, as well as comics, movies, documentaries and series.
Maria Comas highlighted the success of the initiative of public works since 19 years that have made 128,434 loans to a number close to 15,000 users ago.
The councilman of Culture David Martinez thanked the efforts of the Directorate General with the campaign complementing the summer offer of the municipal library with special activities like the "chiringuiteras Readings" has been launched this summer with the book depository in the bars beach users can pick up and return once read.
