The Minister of Family and Equal Opportunities, Violante Thomas and the mayor of San Javier, José Miguel Luengo visited this morning the Lozar residences Pozo Aledo and Santiago de la Ribera in the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia holds 38 seats concerted for seniors.
During the visit to the residence of Pozo Aledo, the minister and the mayor, accompanied by the general director of Seniors and People with Disabilities, Ana Guijarro, and the Councillor for Social Services, Estíbaliz Masegosa checked the result of the renovation of center that have resulted in the reduction of seats from 61 to 52, of which there are occupied 51, "to win space and offer more comfort and quality care to residents," said the center's director, Maria Carmen Arroyo.
The Minister Violante Thomas praised the facilities and the quality of care provided to elderly in residence, while visiting Pozo Aledo, and recalled that the two centers in the municipality have increased by six concerted seats within the 520 new positions that they have been created since the adoption of the latest regional budgets.
The mayor of San Javier, José Miguel Luengo congratulated the management of the residence "for the renovation of the center and the quality of care offered to older people who live here as if it were one big family".
