The Councillor for Environment, Antonio Luengo opened the events to be held in San Javier until next September 24 on the occasion of the European Mobility Week, under the theme "Smart mobility, strong economy" today, aiming principal of promoting ways and means to move in an urban environment involving less environmental impact.
Welcome to Week European Mobility was held this morning with primary school students in the Education Park Road where children have participated in bike tours supervised by local police officers who have shown them how to do it safely.
Children also went through workshops on sustainable mobility and experimented with a simulator of overturning the importance of the proper use of seat belts when traveling by car, among other activities.
Antonio Luengo said the program organized by the Department of Environment, including promotion of public transport, with a free day in the urban bus which takes place on Saturday 17, and a day without cars, on Thursday September 22.
It also encourages the use of bicycles, with a cycling route between El Mirador and Santiago de la Ribera which will take place on Sunday departure at 08: 30h.

The program includes activities that encourage mobility on foot with a guided tour of the AGA, which will depart from San Javier walking, and participation in the IV Hiking Trail "Memorial Antonio Perez, Sherif" for rural roads.
Nor forget the disabled with activity "Freaky Friday."
The acts are completed with a playful and thematic late to the smallest on Tuesday 20 at 18: 30h in the Plaza of Spain, and theater offered to schools with "I want to be eco-efficient do you still love me?".
On Monday afternoon 19 reserves show users bikes, skates or scooters how to move safely in urban areas, with the help of local police officers in the Road Safety Park from 18: 30h.
