The association The Baby Jesus, founded in San Javier two years ago with the aim of combating poverty and social inequality in all areas, currently serves 120 families and has 50 volunteers involved in the collection and delivery of food products, clothing, household goods and other necessities to people in need.
Also provides financial support for payment of bills, medications, and rents, what will allocate 4,000 euros received from the City of San Javier through the collaboration agreement whose renewal signed this morning the mayor, José Miguel Luengo with the president of the association, María Jesús Gallego.
The mayor of San Javier, José Miguel Luengo reiterated "the will of the City Council to collaborate with people who altruistically are organized to help others in solidarity" and thanked "the great work done by this partnership," which also maintains two sheltered homes that welcome homeless.
