The mayor of San Javier José Miguel Luengo closed today at the General Air Academy the First Conference on Journalism, Protocol and Armed Forces which took place from 21 to 23 in San Pedro del Pinatar, Cartagena and San Javier, organized by the Spanish Association Protocol and the College of Journalists of the Region of Murcia.
The event was chaired by the mayor of San Javier, José Miguel Luengo;
Colonel AGA director, Juan Pablo Sanchez de Lara;
the Chief of Defence in the Region of Murcia, Captain, Jose Ignacio Martí;
the Dean of the College of Journalists of the Region of Murcia, Juan Antonio de Heras and the president of the Spanish Association of Protocol, Juan Angel Cat, who were responsible for handing out diplomas to the 50 participants in the conference, from both Region of Murcia as other parts of Spain.
The former correspondent for TVE, Rosa Maria Calaf was one of the speakers of the morning reporter attended the closing ceremony of the conference in involving experts in protocol and communication of various agencies of the Armed Forces, and journalists that through lectures, seminars and roundtables have had the opportunity to know more about the circumstances surrounding the ceremonial projection and information to and from the Armed Forces.
Before officially closing the conference, the mayor of San Javier José Miguel Luengo reminded the audience of the close historical relationship between the Air Force, through the General Air Academy with the municipality of San Javier whose City Council is now serving 180 years he recalled.
Taking advantage of the tour of the Mar Menor to La Manga with attendees, mostly journalists, closed the conference, Luengo emphasized the beauty and importance of the Mar Menor for the town and for the region and called for the involvement of all the recovery process of the lagoon which is and will remain a priority for all governments.
