Matias Cantabella Councilman Winning San Javier, has accompanied the Platform of the Covenant by the Mar Menor, environmentalists and neighbors to raise a joint to the Committee on Petitions of the European Parliament request, and thus report to the agency's situation emergency exists in relation to the protection of the lagoon.

Councilman was accompanied by Lola Sanchez, Member of the European Parliament, Javier Sanchez Serna (national deputy), Maria Gimenez and Andres Pedroza regional deputies.
Among the groups that attended the European parliament are the Covenant by the Mar Menor, representatives of residents of the FAVCAC, Ecologists in Action, the Fishermen's Association of San Pedro del Pinatar and experts from the University of Alicante and Murcia, as well as the sum of the initiatives proposed by the environmental group ANSE.
The petition was delivered to the President of the Committee on Petitions, Cecilia Wikström, and exposed to the Spanish MEPs from all political groups.
