The technique responsible for Friendly Cities for Children, UNICEF, network Lucia Losoviz yesterday visited San Javier where he held several working meetings that are part of the evaluation process of the proposal of the City of San Javier, through the Department of Social services, to be recognized as a Child Friendly City.
The UNICEF representative, Lucia Losoviz, accompanied by the regional coordinator of Unicef, Carolina Galvan, vice president of Unicef ​​Murcia, Salina Consuelo and Secretary of Unicef ​​Murcia, Fuensanta Vivancos, held first a technical meeting with the Councillor for Social Services, Estíbaliz Masegosa and technicians from his department.
They were then received by the mayor in a meeting which was also attended by the Councillor for Citizen Security, Teresa Foncuberta, along with the mayor and municipal technicians Estíbaliz Masegosa.
UNICEF representatives also met with social agents of the municipality, representatives of associations and organizations working directly with the child and adolescent group.
The working day in San Javier ended with a meeting with municipal technicians from different departments who participated in the analysis of the situation of children in the municipality, as well as in developing the I Plan for Children and Adolescents in the municipality of San Javier.
The application for membership of the municipality of San Javier's network Friendly Cities for Children, UNICEF was approved unanimously by all local groups in the plenary last March on a proposal by the Councillor for Social Services, Estíbaliz Masegosa.
The renocimiento Town Child Friendly, CAI, which is awarded every two years, requires support for the creation of municipal plans of children, child participation in spaces reserved for this purpose, the promotion of policies for the benefit of children and promote networking among municipalities that are part of this initiative.
