The Mayor of San Javier José Miguel Luengo and the Councillor for Education, Volunteering, Health and Participation of the City of San Javier Perez Jimenez Catalina attended last Friday to the presentation of the first book of the coastal writer Ruben Santiago: Ultramar.
The author also accompanied José Maestre Coloma, poet and professor at the University of Valencia.
The manuscript, prefaced by poet Denise Garcia, accommodates more than a hundred micro-stories full of irony, humor and imagination about the history of the sea and sailing.
Evocative illustrations painter Jorge Fin, welcome the personal universe of the writer.
The presentation, framed within the activities organized by autumn Public Library of the City of San Javier, took place at the Prince of Asturias Civic Center of Santiago de la Ribera and was attended by a large audience.
