The coastal Ruben Santiago presented last Friday in Santiago de la Ribera, his first book, "Overseas", a set of over a hundred micro-stories full of irony, humor and imagination about the history of the sea and sailing.
The author was accompanied by the mayor of San Javier, José Miguel Luengo and the Councillor for Education, Volunteering and Social Participation, Catalina Perez in the presentation of the book, which brought together a large audience in the "Araceli Rubio" living in an act where he attended the coastal Jose also Coloma, poet and professor at the University of Valencia.
Ruben Santiago, diploma in teaching, educational psychologist and speech therapist, turns in "overseas" the imprint of someone who has grown up by the sea, which provides special tribute with a series of short stories that wanders through the history of the sea and the navegation.
The poet Denise Garcia prefaces the book Ruben Santiago which also featured the artist Jorge Fin whose evocative illustrations host the personal universe of the writer, who was happy to present his first book to his neighbors in Santiago de la Ribera.
The presentation of "overseas" is part of the fall activities scheduled by the Municipal Library of San Javier.
