The Councilor for Security María Teresa Foncuberta today presented the Road Safety Days "A comprehensive vision of traffic accidents from prevention to research" to be held in the plenary hall of the City of San Javier next Thursday November 24, Organized by the Department of Security of San Javier and the Association of Victims of Traffic Accidents of the Region of Murcia.
Foncuberta explained that the Conference, which coincides with World Day of Victims of Trafficking, held on the third Sunday of November, has as its main objective "to provide tools aimed at excellence in the care of victims in traffic accidents" .
Beyond the psychological aspect in dealing with victims, the Conference will also serve to "deepen prevention and research with the ultimate goal of reducing road accidents," added the mayor of Security.
The Jornadas, open to the public in general, but especially directed to Local Police agents, Civil Guard and the rest of professionals with competencies in traffic accidents, who have been invited to participate, will have experts such as Raimundo García Cuesta, president of The International Organization of Road Accidentology and correspondent for Spain of the European Road Safety Charter.
The mayor of San Javier, José Miguel Luengo, the provincial chief of traffic, Virginia Jerez, the representative in Spain of the European Road Safety Charter, Raimundo García and the president of the Association of Victims of Traffic in the Region of Murcia, José Francisco Alcolea will inaugurate the Conference at 9:00 p.m. giving way to the first Panel of Speakers moderated by Pablo Girona, technical engineer of Public Works.
Emilio José García, president of the Victimology Foundation of Spain, will speak on "The rights of victims of accidents and their new regulation in the statute of the victim," Raimundo García will do on "Quality in the Road safety management ".
Provincial Traffic Chief Virginia Jerez will present a "Joint Analysis of Accident in our Region, and aspects of special attention to improve road safety," and Agapito Cánovas, Captain of the Traffic Subsector of the Civil Guard of Murcia, will speak On "Prevention of safety in the scene of the traffic accident".
The second speakers' table, which will start at 12:00 pm, moderated by Sergio Murcia, San Javier Local Police Officer, Doctor of Law and criminologist, will count on the participation of Antonio Rubio, Chief of section of ordination and archives of the Institute Of Legal Medicine of Murcia, that will expose "The new legislation and its praxis with the victims of traffic accidents";
The psychologist specializing in psychotherapy and president of the Association for the Promotion of Psychosocial Health, Aliety Fernández will present "The psychological aspects in the attention to the victims of traffic accidents", and Salvador Félix Ruiz, Dr. in Criminology and members of the Forces and Safety Bodies, will speak on "Corporal interventions in road safety".
The Conference will be closed by the Councilor for Security, Maria Teresa Foncuberta;
The general director of Citizen Security and Emergencies of the Region of Murcia, Manuel Durán;
The director general of Roads of the Region of Murcia, Jose Antonio Fernandez and the Accidental Sergeant-Chief of the Local Police of San Javier, José Tomás García Izquierdo.
