San Javier will again protest against gender violence on the occasion of the celebration of 25N, International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, with a program that was given this morning by the Councilor for Women and Equality, Estíbaliz Masegosa Accompanied by Africa Escudero, jurist of the Center for Specialized Care for Women Victims of Gender Violence, CAVI Mar Menor, based in San Javier.
Culture as therapy joins the program this year with the celebration of a musical gala that has been called "Punto y apArte", in which a large number of artists will collaborate in a disinterested way.
"Participating in cultural activities may be essential in the recovery of the victim," said Africa Escudero who invited the public to attend the Gala to be held on Thursday, November 24 at 20:00 at the theater of the civic center "Prince of Asturias "Of Santiago de la Ribera, with free access.
The mayor Estíbaliz Masegosa recalled that to influence in the sensitization of all the social groups on the violence against the woman is one more year the objective of these acts that include the reading of an institutional manifesto by the Mayor in the place of Spain on the 25 of November at 12:00, followed by a minute of silence in memory of the victims.
Musicians of the Conservatory of San Javier will put soundtrack to the commemorative act of 25N in which there will also be a reading of varied texts against the violence of gender and a large mural in which the invited children will be able to write or to draw their messages against the violence .
Masegosa recalled that on November 30 will be announced the ruling of the third contest of Microrrelates against Gender Violence "which is on track to reach the 300 texts presented last year when three men won the first three awards."

The Councilor for Women and Equality also recalled that these acts are complemented by other activities focused on prevention in schools, such as the reissued "seed" program with children of children and other activities, In the absence of a specific date, as a self-defense course with the collaboration of the PDM "in which in addition to personal defense techniques will work, as a therapy, self-esteem and incorporation of prevention strategies in women victims."
