The Municipal School of Family dedicated its last talk to the emotional education under the title "The parents educamos with intelligent emotion" offered by the professor Juana Hernández specialist in emotional intelligence and education.
The Councilor for Education Catalina Pérez introduced the speaker who gathered a group of mothers and fathers interested in what is involved in emotional intelligence related to education both in the family and in schools.
Juana Hernández addressed the importance of emotions in the way we respond to life, and pointed out that many of the current social problems are due, in part, to the inability to understand each other's emotions and to express their own.
Hernandez emphasized that emotional education is a preventive tool against problems such as violence, drugs, dysfunctional relationships, racism, xenophobia and even global conflicts.
