Claiming the rights of people with disabilities and giving visibility and normality to the functional diversity of people is the objective that has united the local associations working in this direction as Aidemar, Fundamifp, Afemar and Fundación RafaPuede, which together with the City Council Have celebrated today in San Javier the Day of the Disability.
A user of the Association for the Integration of the Disabled in the region of Mar Menor, AIDEMAR, was in charge of reading a manifesto, in the square of Spain, which recalled the right of people with disabilities to lead a full life Within a framework of social equality.
"I am disabled and I will go ahead," he said in a poem read later by a user of Fundamifp, in an event that was attended by users of participating associations, and neighbors who joined the event.
The Councilor for Social Services Estíbaliz Masegosa, accompanied by the representatives of Aidemar, Fundamifp, Afemar and Fundación RafaPuede, inaugurated in the morning an exhibition of photographs given by each of the associations, which shows the day to day of anyone With disabilities, in the library of San Javier.
The Plaza of Spain then welcomed the celebration of the Day of Disability with the reading of the manifesto, after which everyone present stamped their hands painted on a mural under the title "We are all equal."
Judith Arteaga was responsible for putting music and rhythm in the morning with playful games in which about 100 people actively participated who also enjoyed a healthy lunch.
"Green Dwarf" joined the celebration by handing out, cotton candy and balloons with a phrase inviting them to make dreams come true.
