The City of San Javier has invested 20,376 euros in conditioning works in the playground area of ​​the school "Joaquín Carrión" to improve mobility and accessibility of people and optimize the maintenance of sports courts.
The public services councilors, Maria Dolores Ruiz, and Education, Catalina Pérez, accompanied by the director of the center, Jose Luis Truque and the president of the AMPA, Elena Farfán checked this morning the result of works covering a total of 650 meters .
The councilor María Dolores Ruiz explained that the works have consisted of the demolition of the existing asphalted that has been replaced with concrete hearth in the entrance area to the building, extension of a section of sidewalk with terrazzo flooring, and paving of an area Of passage, previously with gravel, that also avoids the deterioration of the contiguous sports court.
The mayor of Education, Catalina Perez highlighted the improvement that implies this action in which the firm of access to the school building that was deteriorated by its antiquity has been renewed, improving the safety and mobility of students.
Perez noted the commitment of the City to continue with this type of actions that improve our centers and recalled the agreement signed recently with FAMDIF to make an accessibility plan in all schools in the municipality.
