A total of 75 children, students of the three groups of 2 ° Primary School "Virgen de Loreto", Santiago de la Ribera visited today the City of San Javier where they were received by the mayor José Miguel Luengo, the Councilor for Education Catalina Pérez and the Youth, Estíbaliz Masegosa, in the plenary hall.
The visit, in which the students have had the opportunity to know different departments of the building, is part of the work that the municipality has done in the school studying both its physical characteristics and the organization and management of the City Council, which have been able To experiment simulating a plenary in which they were the protagonists.
The students, accompanied by four teachers, also visited the Municipal Museum, where they were able to check the changes and the progress that the passage of time, over what also worked in class.
The mayor José Miguel Luengo took advantage of the visit to explain to the children the meaning of the recent recognition of San Javier as a "Friend of Children's Municipality", by UNICEF, reminding them that the municipality has a Local Plan for Children and Adolescents, which Among other things, involves the direct participation of children, through their school representatives in municipal decisions related to children.
