The members of the San Javier library reading club and the volunteers of the bibliohospital service, many of whom also belong to the reading club, recently met to celebrate their seventh and third anniversary, respectively, in the library of San Javier In an act that had the presence of the Councilor of Volunteer Catalina Pérez.
The reading club has been operating for seven years and currently has 25 fixed members who each month choose by vote a title, mainly novel, but also some poetry and theater.
Once read, they gather to reflect and dissect the chosen work.
The bibliohospital, which emerged in the library of San Javier and is nourished, mostly volunteers from the Bank of Time, is three years old.
It currently has 14 volunteers who each Wednesday pass with their book cart, belonging to the fund of the library of San Javier, the rooms of the hospital Los Arcos offering all kinds of readings with great success as the figures show last year when 226 books and 385 magazines were given.
Both the reading club and the bibliohospital are open for anyone interested to join at any time so you should contact the San Javier library.
