The Councilor for Equality Estíbaliz Masegosa defended today the education in values ​​from a gender equality perspective in the schools during the visit to CEIP "Fulgencio Ruiz" where the project "Same Equality, grows in values" is being developed, impelled from the Council Municipal Equality on the proposal of the Specialized Care Center for Women Victims of Gender Violence, CAVI, Santiago de la Ribera.
Masegosa highlighted the involvement of teachers in a project that has as its ultimate goal to work Equality from an early age integrated into the school day to day.
Silvia Blazaquez, a CAVI technician, and project coordinator, emphasized the elimination of gender roles among the smallest helping to eliminate gender clichés, through a series of resources such as stories, games, or videos with the Which counts teachers in class.
One of the CEIP teachers "Fulgencio Ruiz" highlighted the good result that the initiative is giving in the center and stressed the need to maintain the same attitude throughout the course.
Beyond activities such as reading the "Monster of Colors", with which children work values ​​and emotions, the attitude of deepening values ​​education and the elimination of gender roles among students should be normalized in the educational process.
The project "Sowing equality, grows in values" was offered to start all the schools in the municipality, but for the moment only the centers "Fulgencio Ruiz" and "La Paz" have welcomed them in this course.
Silvia Blazquez was hopeful in the progressive incorporation of the rest of Primary schools to which it is directed.
